NEW COTTAGE Although it is still referred to as the "new" cottage on occasion, it is over twenty-five years old! Unlike its predecessor, this cottage is straight, leak-free and has many modern features missing from the original building. No longer do you have to use an outhouse ... there is a bathroom. No longer do you have to go to the pump for water ... there is running water (however it is taken directly from the lake and is not safe to drink). A telephone line was installed many years ago, but now that we are in the age of cell phones, it is not connected. A large deck was built down by the water and a trolley car system was added to transport elderly people as well as luggage up the hill. It's a wonderful retreat. Lois and Lloyd picked a good spot. Their children and grandchildren (and even a few great-grandchildren) have made many lifelong memories here.
