  • Responsible for 10 weekly publications.

  • Direct a staff of 13 to compose computer graphics on a Macintosh system and manage a network of eight Macs, three laser printers, two flatbed scanners and two negative scanners.
  • Set up computer graphics production department and trained personnel in 7 cities in addition to Cleveland.
  • Set up darkrooms and trained personnel in 23 cities.
  • Converted enlargers and built light meters to print high quality, low cost half-tones for less than 1/3 of the cost that they had been paying.
  • Totally eliminated stat cameras, phototype and most mechanical methods while upgrading the look of the publications.
  • Supervised 13 full and part-time people, while supporting (via telephone) the other 7 cities in the district. I solved darkroom and Macintosh problems.

DEALER PUBLICATIONS, INC. (Park Hills, Kentucky)
1976-1985 • Production Manager

  • Responsible for 1 monthly and 4 weekly publications.

  • Set up darkrooms at 3 different locations as well as phototypesetting and graphic art procedures.
  • Developed a successful method of producing high-quality black and white half-tones on typesetting paper with a photographic enlarger.
  • Started as a field photographer, then became route manager and photographer manager before becoming production manager.

THERMO KING (Cincinnati, Ohio)
1973-1976 • Salesman then Parts Manager

  • Worked with inventory control and purchasing of parts.

  • Sold parts and services directly to trucking companies.

U.S. GRAPHITE Division of WICKES (Saginaw, Michigan)
1967-1973 • Inside Sales then Outside Sales

  • Factory representative for sales of seals and bearings to large companies. My 1st territory was Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana then I was transferred to Indiana and Ohio.

  • Processed orders and quotations at the company's home office.
  • Fielded customer calls and expedited delivery schedules.

PERSONAL INFORMATION:

  • Born August 12, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan. Married for 28 years. Four children: 1 son and 3 daughters.

  • Education - Delta College, Bay City, Michigan and Saginaw Business Institute, Saginaw, Michigan.
  • Past President of the North Coast Macintosh Users' Group.
  • Past Slide Chairman of the Camera Club of Cincinnati.
  • Attendance - Have missed less than a handful of days in the past 30 years.
  • Work habits - Enjoy working hard and fast, know the QWERTY keyboard.
  • Interests - Community involvement, genealogy, church activities, sailing, videotaping, 35 mm photography, computer graphics and yard work.
  • Personality - Outgoing and friendly. I get along with a wide variety of people.
